An agitated elephant was not in the mood to share its riverside pleasure with more than 25 hippos and crocodiles in the Shingwedzi area of the Kruger National Park. A video shows the elephant trying to shoo the other animals away and even kicking a few of them.
It made a commotion before it found a baby hippo alone on the sandbank. As soon as the elephant moved in that way, it began to push the baby out of the water, pulling off the unthinkable.
In his 50 years of visiting game parks, Gordon Crundwell, 57, who captured the meeting between the elephant and the hippos, asserted that he had never seen anything like it. The elephant became irritated and started trumpeting and splashing in the water. The elephant chased all of the hippos out of the pool.
During the disruption, a juvenile hippo was left on the sandbank. The elephant approached and started to move the baby elephant with his trunk. According to Crundwell, he then launched the kid farther up the sandbank.
The elephant supposedly abandoned the baby hippo after the commotion and returned to the water, where he flailed and trumpeted. The little hippo was moving back toward the water while appearing uninjured. He then pursued the elephant. As soon as the elephant emerged from the water, the young hippo began gnawing on his hind foot. The elephant seemed to have become more enraged as a result and tried to kick the baby hippo away. As the infant hippo followed the elephant out of the water, another angry ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ seemed to be stopped by a boulder. The elephant quickly ʟᴏsᴛ interest and turned to go.
